HOW TO GAIN INFORMATION ON EACH MINNESOTA PRISONER
- Visit the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) website. The Minnesota Dept of Corrections does not offer information about prisoners in county lockups or city jails, but you may do a Search for Offender Records on State Level. This offender search can be used to retrieve public information about adult offenders who have been committed to the Minnesota Commissioner of Corrections, and who are still under Minnesota’s jurisdiction (i.e. in prison, or released from prison and still under supervision).
- To locate a Minnesota inmate within the MN county jails, please visit Minnesota counties with online access to their inmate records on this website. However, at this time, not every county sheriff´s office do offer online records.
- If you cannot locate a Minnesota prisoner this way, it may be necessary to contact the particular correctional facility by telephone. For further information you may start at the directory of Minnesota County Websites.
