HOW TO GAIN INFORMATION ON EACH MICHIGAN PRISONER
- Visit the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) website. The Michigan Dept of Corrections does not offer information about prisoners in county jails or city lockups, or about offenders who were sentenced to jail only. Jails are operated by counties, State Prisons are operated bei the MDOC. To locate an offender within the Michigan Department of Correction (Michigan State Prisons) you may use Michigans Offender Tracking Information System (OTIS).
- To locate a Michigan inmate within the MI county jails, please visit Michigan counties with online access to their inmate records on this website. However, at this time, not every county sheriff´s office do offer online records.
- If you cannot loacate a Michigan prisoner this way, it may be necessary to contact the particular correctional facility by telephone. For further information you may start at the directory of Michigan County Websites.
